I’ve been thinking a lot about the ending of Toradora. It’s such a beloved series, but honestly, I’m a bit confused about what happened between Ryuuji and Taiga. They seem like they had such a strong bond throughout the show, so why did Taiga leave? Anyone else feel the same way?
I totally get you. Taiga leaving Ryuuji was so unexpected. I think it was part of her character growth though.

Right? She had to face her own issues, especially with her family. It made sense for her character arc.

I think they realized they needed to grow individually before being together. Makes sense, but still hurts.
Honestly, I thought the ending was satisfying. It wrapped up their arcs pretty nicely, even if it was bittersweet.

Yeah, I agree. It wasn’t a typical happy ending, but it felt real.

Could be worse. At least they didn’t end up super unhappy. They both seemed to learn a lot.

True. I felt so bad for her. She was always there for Taiga, but it seemed like she got the short end of the stick.
