Piece of shit knew the news of his divorce was coming, so he did the “woe is me” act to get ahead of it. The article exposes him as a true liar. Didn’t he claim the divorce was his wife’s idea? Threatening a pregnant woman is on brand for a right-wing grifter.
Despite being a millionaire, this guy doesn’t own two cars. Why? so that he can manipulate his wife in this way.
My initial idea was this. His actions are blatantly aggressive and manipulative. 
God forbid that, rather than his 8-month pregnant wife, he gives the dogs their medicine or takes them for walks. In front of her, he must perform the crucial task of smoking a cigar and, maybe, visiting his family or the gym.
