Hey everyone, I’ve been thinking about full-grown South African Boerboels lately. They seem like such amazing dogs. IDK, just something about their size and loyalty gets me. Does anyone else feel the same way or have experiences with them?
Totally. I’ve had mine for a few years now, and he’s the best. Super loyal and protective.

What do you mean by protective? Like he barks a lot or just watches over you?

A bit of both, lol. He’s always alert and barks if someone comes close, but he’s super gentle with family.
I love how they’re so big but still have such a sweet personality.

Right? It’s like they know they’re big but still act like lap dogs sometimes, lol.
Do they require a lot of exercise? I’m thinking about getting one.

Yeah, they need regular walks and playtime, but nothing too crazy. Just some good daily activity.
I’ve heard they can be a handful when they’re young. Is that true?

For sure. They can be a bit stubborn at times, but with the right training, they’re amazing.

What kind of training do they need? I’m a bit clueless.
@Peyton
Basic obedience stuff is key. Just start early and be consistent. They catch on fast.
I love how they look. But I’m worried about the space requirements. Do they need a big yard?

A decent yard helps, but they can adapt if you’re active with them. Regular walks work too.
